FISHERMAN TO BE TRAINED IN ACCIDENT PREVENTION

Proposed legislation in the United States will require fishing vessel operators to be licensed as masters of fishing industry vessels less than 79 fee`t or less than 200 gross tons. It is hoped that the legislation will improve fishing vessel safety by increasing professional competency among the operators.
