REESBORG: 558 TEU TWIN SCREW OPEN CONTAINER VESSEL COMPLETED BY VEROLME SHIPYARD HEUSDEN

REESTBORG is a twin-screw diesel driven cellular container vessel with two open holds, i.e. no hatches, plus one (forward) hold with pontoon hatches. The REESTBORG is the first unit completed in a series of two sister vessels on order at Verolme Scheepswerf (Shipyard) Heusden b.v., The Netherlands for C.V. Scheepvaartonderneming Reestborg, The Netherlands. The vessel is designed for the carriage of containers and equipped with cells for 20', 30', 40' and 45' containers. General arrangement drawings are included in the article. Principle particulars are: propulsion 2 x Ulstein Bergen BRM-8 length, overall 139.95m length, between perpendiculars 123.55m breadth, moulded 20.00m depth, moulded 12.60m scantling draught, moulded 6.30m tonnage, deadweight 7,285t speed 17.5 knots container capacity (incl 30 empty FEU in tier 16) 558 TEU
