FULL-SCALE MEASUREMENTS OF SINKAGE AND TRIM OF A BULK CARRIER

This paper describes a method of sinkage measurement in natural conditions for full-body ships. Measurement results are given in the form of nondimensional coefficients. An analysis with regard to the ship's operation is presented. Sinkage values calculated by the methods given by Barrass (1991), Nowicki (1978) and Nawrocki (1986) are compared with data obtained from measurements of ships in service.
