HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEY: HAMBURG GOES ON-LINE

The number of hydrographic survey packages, and their complexity, has grown dramatically in the last decade, offering port authorities and dredging contractors unparallel opportunities for accurate dredge guidance and post-dredge survey. The article describes the first phase of what is probably the most advanced computer-based hydrographic survey system ordered by any port authority which came on stream at the Port of Hamburg early in 1994.
