NUMERICAL MODEL FOR CALCULATING TEMPERATURE PROFILES IN AN ICE COVER
A numerical method for calculating temperature variations in floating ice covers is presented. The model, which incorporates internal heating due to penetrating solar radiation, employs a specific technique which permits accurate and efficient treatment of non-linear surface heat balance problems. Equations and appended table, and graphs show data.
