MULTI-PURPOSE WASTE MANAGEMENT ON BOARD SHIPS

A crucial area in waste management is the need to extract all the plastic from the waste so that none is discharge to the sea, the technical feasibility of plastic separation including mechanical separation, manual separation, separation from food waste and costs of on shore disposal is discussed.
