SW 38: LOWER NOX WITHOUT FUEL PENALTY

The article describes the Stork-Wartsila SW 38 medium speed diesel. A revised diesel cycle enables the SW 38 to achieve NOx emission reductions of 50-70% without the loss of fuel economy that has hitherto seemed the inevitable price of cleaner emissions.
