KEEPING SHIPYARD POLLUTION UNDER WRAPS
Creative use of plastic shrink wrap has increased productivity and, at the same time, enhanced air and water quality at some major U.S. West Coast shipyards. The yards use shrink wrap to shroud masts, protect engines and sensitive equipment and define underdeck work areas during repair and maintenance projects. The shrink wrap enclosure captures fine sandblast grit and debris while virtually eliminating emissions.
