SHIPFLOW APPLICATIONS

The paper gives a short introduction to the background and the theory of the SHIPFLOW computer code for ship flow and resistance analysis and the operation of the code and the required hardware are described. A list of cases for which the SHIPFLOW code has been applied for research as well as commercial purposes is given. References to all published material are given and results are presented for three previously unpublished cases. The general conclusion is that the code could be a useful tool when selecting between different alternatives in the design process, leaving the most promising ones for the final verification in the towing tank.
