THE USE OF MANOEUVRING SIMULATORS FOR PORT EXTENSION STUDIES
This paper briefly describes a ship manoeuvring simulator to be used for the analysis of port extension projects and to establish entrance rules for different types and sizes of ships depending on weather conditions. The criteria used to select the final components and the main requirements to perform a research project with this kind of equipment are also described.
