STUDY ON WAVE GENERATED BY PLANING PLAT PLATE I - EXPERIMENT OF WAVEMAKING PHENOMENA BY A PLANING FLAT PLATE OF INFINITE SPAN

This paper deals with experimental investigations on wavemaking phenomena by a planing flat plate of infinite span in a circulating water channel and the theoretical investigations of the phenomena by the analytical method. The controlling parameters of the wave generation are investigated and the relations between the parameters and the generated wave profiles are obtained.
