A FREE FORM TEST FACILITY FOR LARGE-SCALE STRUCTURAL MODELS OF SHIP SECTIONS OR COMPONENTS
The report describes a free form test facility (FFTF) that can realistically test components of ship structures, scale sections of large ships, and complete hulls of small ships and boats. The background FFTF is given, and the development of the test bed is described. Specifications for the test equipment are discussed for the hydraulic pumping system, the load application system, and the load programming and control system.
