NEW FOLDING FIN STABILISER DESIGN FROM BROWN BROTHERS

This article describes the development of a new series of folding fin stabilisers. The designers of the VM series aimed to reduce manufacturing costs, reduce weight and lost buoyancy, minimise moving ports and maximise reliability and availability.
