RUDDER ROLL STABILISATION AND STEERING GEAR
This article describes the Roll-Nix rudder roll stabilisation system which can reduce roll reduction by more than 50 per cent. By means of state-of-the-art micro-computer technology, the Roll-Nix uses the roll moment created by positioning the ship's rudder, to counteract the roll moment reduced by the force of waves.
