AUTOMATED REASONING TECHNIQUES FOR DIESEL ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS
This paper describes various diagnostic inferencing or automated reasoning techniques investigated during the development of an expert system for diesel engine diagnostics. A prototype diesel engine diagnostic expert system has been developed and placed into operation aboard four APL containerships.
