MARINE WEATHER DISSEMINATION SYSTEMS STUDY. VOLUME 4. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHANGE
Potential improvements in existing and proposed weather dissemination systems are examined. Recommendations are made for changes in the policies, facilities and procedures of the U.S. Coast Guard and other government and non- government agencies aimed at effecting realistic improvements in system service. Service to coastal, off-shore and high seas areas is discussed. The work described was performed in the third phase of a study aimed at improving the dissemination of weather information to marine users and at establishing guidelines for future Coast Guard research and development efforts in this field.
