SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR FAST SEA TRANSPORTATION IN JAPAN

Following extensive research and development it is expected that advanced high speed vessels will soon be operating in commercial seaborne transportation. It will therefore become necessary to make new rules and regulations, or review existing standards. This paper discusses recent work in Japan into developing and revising rules for high speed vessels.
