KVAERNER EUREKA LAUNCHES BRIDGE AND PROPULSION SYSTEMS

Kvaerner Eureka have begun a major research and development programme aimed at providing "one of the world's most advanced integrated bridge systems for high speed passenger vessels". The system involves applying new computer and automation technology to register and analyse data from navigation instruments and other sources of information significant to the crafts position and safety. The company have also developed a complete and totally integrated propulsion system for high speed craft, and can provide customers with a complete service from initial design concept, through the supply of principal components.
