MODEL PROPELLER MEASUREMENT USING A 3D LASER SCANNER
In this paper a method for measuring the accuracy of small model propellers using a 3D laser scanner is described. The system uses computer processing to extract propeller section shape from the laser scan images. From these sections detailed measures of a number of design components can be obtained. An example is presented and some results obtained for the propeller are given.
