The SOMBEKE, larger than her predecessors from Boelwerf N.V., Antwerp, Belgium, has a tank capacity of 34,000 cu.m, enabling her to carry a full load of ammonia and a part load of VCM which is the heaviest gas with a density of 0.972. Principal particulars are: length o.a. 165.66 m length b.p. 157.26 m breadth moulded 26.50 m depth moulded 18.60 m depth, freeboard 16.60 m draught, scantling 11.86 m cargo tanks capacity 33,620 cu.m. deck tanks capacity 410.30 cu.m.
