UNITOR WITH REVOLUTIONARY NEW OIL SPILL PREVENTION AND RECOVERY SYSTEM
Recent tanker accidents off the US East Coast and US Gulf have once again brought home the realisation of just how much damage to the environment can be caused by the spillage of oil at sea. Norwegian-headquartered international ship supply company Unitor Ships Service A/S, however, has launched two revolutionary concepts in answer to the problem of collisions and groundings: the Imaginary Double Bottom and the Oil Spill Containment System, which are both simple in concept and provide shipowners with a cost effective option. The system can also easily be retrofitted aboard existing vessels.
