SUBMERGED-ARC WELDING - AN UPDATE

Techniques designed to improve productivity, quality and overall economics of submerged arc welding have improved over the years. Improvements have also taken place in control systems, joint tracking devices and mechanisms for moving and guiding the welding head. This article examines some of these developments.
