STEALTH - THE ESSENCE OF MODERN FRIGATE DESIGN

The importance of building 'stealthy' modern frigates was underlined recently when a firm of consulting engineers was appointed 'stealth' systems authority of the new Canadian Patrol Frigate (Halifax class). This British company is responsible for ensuring the CPF meets a set of stringent requirements for acoustic and infrared (IR) signature and radar cross-section (RCS).
