A MANOEUVRING SIMULATOR STUDY FOR A LNG TERMINAL IN TAIWAN
A procedure for the development of a manoeuvring plan based upon the concept of elemental manoeuvres has been introduced for the safety evaluation of a LNG carrier on its entering and berthing of a receiving terminal at Yung-an, the first LNG terminal in Taiwan. Adaptability tests of the manoeuvring plan had been carried out so as to know the acceptability of a designed terminal layout. Modification of the turning basin has been proposed according to the results of this simulator study.
