DECOMMISSIONING EXPERIENCES IN THE GULF OF MEXICO AND THE NORTH SEA

This paper examines platform decommissioning experience to date in both the Gulf of Mexico and in the North Sea. Trends and experience from both areas will be assessed for their application to the larger Northern North Sea platforms which are scheduled for decommissioning from the mid 1990s.
