INFORMATION ON URBAN TRAFFIC FORECASTS
INFORMATION OM TRAFIKPROGNOSER I TAETORT
The main aim of these guidelines is to inform politicians and officials of local authorities about why, how and when to make use of urban traffic forecasts in urban planning. Two types of models are described. On one hand traffic flow estimations which define how different transport means are used or will be used in future and on the other hand descriptive models for service quality. Data necessary as a base for traffic estimates are listed, as well as how to interpret the results of the estimates. The organization, realization and presentation of forecasts are also described. /TRRL/
