THE LAHN WATERWAY USED FOR LEISURE TIME

The paper describes the Lahn river with respect to its geographic, hydrologic and economic characteristics as well as the stages of its development into a navigable waterway. The paper concludes with the statement that the Lahn should be maintained as a federal waterway for pleasure navigation and tourism and with a reference to the joint efforts for the preservation of nature and the landscape as well as for the conciliation of interests.
