RIGID PLASTIC SOLUTION FOR THE IMPACTED RECTANGULAR PLATES WITH FINITE DEFLECTIONS
An approximate theoretical procedure based on a rigid plastic method is developed to give the lower and upper bound of the dynamic plastic solution to the impacted rectangular plate with finite deflections. The analytic solution obtained is compared with the predictions of numerical program (Zhu and Faulkner, 1989-a), in which elasto-plastic work-hardening material was adopted.
