SHOTCRETING ON CHALK: SOME PRELIMINARY TRIALS
This report describes the spraying and testing of ten panels of shotcrete sprayed onto a vertical chalk face. Overall some 7 to 26 per cent of the sprayed materials rebounded from the face the amount decreasing with increasing operator experience. The shotcrete in the panels was found to be strong and dense by comparison with conventionally deposited concrete of similar water/cement ratio.(a) /TRRL/
