NEW DUTIES IN THE FIELD OF FURTHER TRAINING OF SHIPS OFFICERS

Requirements of shipping and the necessary changes in the structure and process caused by the application of key technologies are described proceeding from the central tasks of transport. Derived from this is the demand for an adequate training period, a target-orientated cyclic further training of ships officers and the necessity of putting new scientific-technological results into practice quickly. The establishment of a centre for qualification including the possibility for practising and simulating processes serve both the training and further training and the development of these processes by means of using an effective simulation technology for research work in the field of sea transport.
