THE PEDESTRIAN IN TRAFFIC
DE VOETGANGER IN HET VERKEER
A description is given of hazards for pedestrians. It is not possible to give recommendations for the fight against pedestrian hazards because of lack of information. In the second chapter some suggestions are made for the improvement of pedestrian safety. The results of a literature survey regarding the effects of provisions, legal measures and initiatives in the field of education and publicity campaigns are given briefly. Measures in the field of urban infrastructure are also discussed. In the third chapter possible research on the effects of town planning measures is discussed. /TRRL/
