A REVIEW OF RESEARCH ON PROPELLER CAVITATION NOISE

This paper reviews recent research work in the field of propeller cavitation noise and relates the characteristics and measurements of the noise in detail. The results obtained by model experiments will be useful at early stage of propeller design and may be used to predict the full scale noise as well. Several approaches of reducing propeller cavitation noise are proposed and discussed, which have the significance of practical application
