DEVELOPMENT OF AN AMPHIBIOUS WING-IN-GROUND EFFECT CRAFT
With the innovative idea of integrating a powered air cushion with ground effect wings, a new type of experimental craft has been designed, built and tested. It can fly close to, take off from or land on either water or land and can manoeuvre successfully. A description of this two-seater experimental craft is given and the main technical problems encountered at the research, design and construction stages, together with their solutions, are discussed.
