SOUND RADIATION AND TRANSMISSION LOSS OF SHIP STRUCTURES

A short literature review of sound radiation and transmission loss of ship structures is presented. Equations to calculate the sound radiation efficiency of a baffled panel is discussed. General features of sound transmission loss of single and double panels are presented. In addition new calculation methods using the statistical energy analysis are referenced.
