TRUMP CRUISE ENGINE REPLACEMENT - AN INTEGRATION CHALLENGE

The existing plant is outlines and the reasons for replacing the cruise engines are summarised. The selected replacement engine model has significant differences in layout configuration, installation requirements, output speed and output power which present interesting design and integration engineering challenges. These are discussed together with the project design considerations and criteria. Finally, the selected design solutions are described.
