FISH INDUCED YAW
Towed systems consisting of a cable and a torpedo-shaped body, the so-called "fish", are frequently used in underwater activities. In this paper the problems caused by fish-induced and bare cable induced yaw are analysed. A remedy to eliminate fish induced yaw, for which satisfactory results have been obtained, is proposed. The data presented give some idea of how the problem of yaw in the total system in a sea operation may be approached.
