PROGRESS OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN MACHINERY CONTROL AND SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS FOR THE ROYAL NAVY
This paper describes the progress of the implementation of digital technology into Machinery Control and Surveillance Systems being procured for the Royal Navy. Reference is made to the practical aspects of this implementation as exemplified by the Type 23 frigate system and subsequent classes. As a consequence of these installations training needs are addressed.
