EXISTING SEMISUBMERSIBLE AKER MOBILE UNITS CONVERTED TO FLOATING PRODUCTION UNITS

The objective of this paper is to show the potential use of and the recent development in converting existing semisubmersibles to floating production units. The characteristics required under North Sea environmental conditions, based on Norwegian Legislations and Regulations are highlighted.
