TECHNIQUES FOR THE TRACING OF SUBTERRANEAN DRAINAGE
The techniques outlined in this bulletin, for tracing subterranean drainage include the use of fluorescent dyes (fluorescein and pyranine conc.), non-fluorescent dyes (rhodamine b and malachite green), and a mechanical method of water tracing (lycopodium spores). For each method, details are given of the test uses and geomorphological implications, equipment, procedure, analysis, and advantages and limitations. The annotated bibliography contains references that deal with specific aspects of the techniques discussed. /TRRL/
