A RAPID DEPLOYMENT TANKER LOADING SYSTEM

The RA-DE SALM rapid-deployment single-anchor mooring system described was designed to provide the military with a device for transferring petroleum products from a tanker to the shore that could be installed rapidly, but it also has commercial applications, especially for extended well testing in water depths up to 500ft. The design, construction, deployment, and retrieval of the device are described.
