ROAD TUNNELS OF THE WORLD STATISTICS AND TRENDS

This report is intended to show present day practice in road tunnel design and construction throughout the world. It is divided into two parts. Part 1 consists of statistics of the various tunnels in tabular form. In part 2 these statistics are examined with a view to deducing the current trends in tunnel practice, or, alternatively show no recognizable current trend or established practice. It is not intended as a standard but rather a compilation of facts to assist anyone engaged in tunnel design. /TRRL/
