AN ALGORITHM FOR THE DETECTION OF SIGNALS BY COLOUR CONTRAST ON THE SCREEN OF A COLOUR CATHODE RAY TUBE (COLOUR DISPLAY)

An algorithm is formulated, in accordance with laws of colorimetry, for the detection of signals on the screen of a colour cathode ray tube by colour contrast. A rule for decision taking in signal detection by colour contrast is formulated on the basis of MacAdam's uniform chromaticity diagram taking into account the threshold sensitivity of the operator's eye. The cases of both two and three-colour displays are considered.
