RTK MARINE EXPANDS HOVERCRAFT RANGE

The Air Vehicle range of hovercraft, previously limited to the Tiger 4 and Tiger 12 models, has been extended by the introduction of the 16-seat Tiger 16; Tiger 32 and 40 models are also under development. The Tiger 16 has a lightweight aluminium hull, while a single air-cooled diesel engine drives a 12-bladed centrifugal lift fan from the front end with a ducted four-bladed propeller mounted on the rear end of the same shaft. There is a hypalon/nylon open loop and segment skirt. The Tiger 32 will employ the same lift/propulsion package as the Tiger 16, but two sets will be employed. In the Tiger 40 there will be two propulsion units again of the same type, but a separate lift engine will be installed. Principal dimensions and performance figures for the complete Tiger range are listed.
