CARBON MONOXIDE INTOXICATION AND ISCHAEMIC HEART DISEASES
KOOLMONOXYDE VERERGIFTIGING EN ISCHAEMISCHE HARTZIEKTEN
Carbon monoxide is one of the main causes of cardiac diseases, brain diseases and lung diseases. One of the sources of carbon monoxide is the vehicle. If the exhaust system of the vehicle is defective, the carbon monoxide may come into the interior of the vehicle. Other sources of carbon monoxide are heating apparatus, stoves and the smoke of cigarettes. The exhaust system and heating system in cars must be inspected periodically; in particular in vehicles with air cooled engines carbon monoxide measurements must be made inside the vehicle during a test ride. /TRRL/
