INFLUENCING ROAD USER BEHAVIOUR

The publication is intended to review the state of the art concerning methods influencing behaviour regarding traffic safety. The possibilities and limitations of various methods are outlined and a model framework for publicity campaigns is presented. A number of studies, carried out in various countries, are reviewed and the results are listed in tables. Recent Dutch measures regarding safety belts and crash helmets are dealt with. /TRRL/
