PHOTOGRAPHIC AND MALVERN ANALYSIS OF COAL-WATER SLURRY ATOMIZATION

These Proceedings are in microfiche form. Photographic and Malvern laser diffraction techniques have been used to analyse coal-water slurry sprays and water sprays produced by a commercial size external mix atomiser. The results are discussed; one main conclusion is that water sprays are not an appropriate model for slurry atomisation.
