SELECTING FLOWMETERS FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Flow measurement is increasing in importance in today's high-tech energy-conscious world. If optimum plant efficiency is to be assured, the right flow measurement system must be chosen from all those available on the market. The article describes advantages and limitations of the more widely used types of flowmeter and provides guidelines to help engineers make the right choice. The influence of recent product developments on flowmeter selection is also considered.
