OPERATING THE FORD ACT SYSTEM IN A SNOW AND ICE ENVIRONMENT
This paper on snow removal offers good test data on the relative efficiencies of electric heating, chemical treatment, and mechanical removal. On the whole, electric heating appears more advantageous, although it does increase operating costs.
