FIELD PERFORMANCE OF POROUS FRICTION SURFACE COURSE
This report presents the results of a field performance survey first described in Report No. FAA-RD-73-197. Additional prototype construction experience and validation of a design procedure including a desired mixing viscosity range are reported. Long-term porous friction course (PFC) performance is recorded and combined with laboratory test results that provide data for a new recommended PFC gradation, water permeability requirements, and initial voids total mix requirement.
