TUNED VIBRATION ABSORBERS FOR "LIVELY" STRUCTURES
In the first part of this paper, the theoretical background and a design procedure for tuned vibration absorbers are presented. In the second part, practical experiences with two footbridges (one girder and one cable stayed) and a diving platform are described. Experiments confirm both the applicability of the proposed design procedure and the effectiveness of the absorbers.
